Second annual Turkey Drop expands to two locations following overwhelming demand for the firm's inaugural 2025 giveaway

The firm will distribute 500 free turkeys at its Virginia Beach office on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, followed by another 500 turkeys at its newly opened Hampton office on Thursday, November 19, 2026. They invite anyone in need to come by and claim one of the turkeys before supplies run out.

The expansion of the event follows the success of the firm's inaugural Turkey Drop in 2025, when Rutter Mills gave away 300 Thanksgiving meals at their Virginia Beach office. All 300 meals were claimed in less than an hour, demonstrating the strong demand for holiday food assistance in the community.

This year, Rutter Mills is expanding to two locations and increasing the giveaway to 1,000 free turkeys, more than tripling the number of turkeys that were available in 2025. This advancement brings the event to the Peninsula for the first time.

Both events will operate as drive-through giveaways, with volunteers loading turkeys directly into vehicles. Turkeys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one turkey per vehicle, while supplies last. Last year's giveaway ran out in less than an hour, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

Bringing the Turkey Drop to Hampton

The addition of a second Turkey Drop location follows the opening of Rutter Mills' Hampton office in 2026, expanding the firm's presence on the Peninsula. No. The Turkey Drop is free and open to the community. You don't need to be a client, have a legal case, or register in advance.

What time should I arrive?
